Kishen Singh

With working experience in India, Australia, Middle East and for the past 25 years in China, Kishen is a dedicated and passionate business development and service industry executive with a broad background in Management, Operations, Strategic Planning and New Growth “Start ups” businesses for MNC’s. His stakeholder and relationship management styles are collaborative and adapt to different cultures and local business situations. Having worked in China for 25 years he has successfully identified growth opportunities and implemented business plans that have had a positive impact on the organizations he has worked so far.
Sridhar Subramaniam
Chair – Pharmaceutical Committee
Sridhar has been in the pharmaceutical sector for over 30 years out of which 18 years have been in China. All of his career has been in the generic pharmaceutical industry and in International Business. Sridhar has worked in pharma majors like Mylan, Ranbaxy, Dr. Reddy’s, Claris, Mega Lifesciences and Cipla. Early in his career he has worked in the Indo-China region (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos) for close to 8 years. Further he was the APAC region head and head of emerging markets in Middle East, North Africa and Latin America regions. China is a particular interest to Sridhar which led him to his 2nd stint this time in Shanghai since 2014 after having been with Ranbaxy in Guangzhou for close to 10 years. Currently Sridhar is the Regional Head and Vice President at Cipla Ltd the #3 ranked pharma company in India leading its efforts to set up direct presence in China through a manufacturing JV and a wholly owned commercial entity.
Gunjan Tarika

Gunjan has pursued his Master’s in Business Management from School of Management, IIT Kharagpur. He has been working with Aditya Birla Group in China since 2004. Since 2019, he has been working as Country Head- China for Pulp & Fiber Business of Aditya Birla Group. He specializes in, Business Development for Manufactured Products, B2B Sales & Marketing & Supply Chain Optimization.
Divya Hazra
Chair – Legal Committee
Divya is an international corporate lawyer and currently heads her boutique law firm Esplora Consulting in Shanghai. Having worked across three jurisdictions, India, USA and China in the past seven years, Divya specializes in advising both large and medium corporations and private equity funds in cross-border mergers and acquisitions. She holds a Masters of Law degree from Columbia University, USA. Other than India, she is also qualified to practice law in New York, USA. Divya enjoys dancing, cooking and reading. She is also actively involved with children and women’s rights NGO’s based in India. She has been living in Shanghai for 3 years now.
Ashwani Muppasani
Chair – Automotive Committee
Ashwani started his career at General Motors. He has worked in production, supplier quality, purchasing & supply chain, Sales and Marketing in the US, China, Latin America, Africa, India, and South Korea and has also done a number of mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, target identification and global due diligence for large scale ventures at a PE firm. In Nov 2019, he joined FCA as the Head of APAC Purchasing & SCM. He currently serves as GAC FCA vice-chairman of the board and President of Jeep Chins. Ashwani holds a MS from Wichita State University and a Bachelors from Manipal Institute of Technology
Arun Bahirwani
Chair – Trade Committee
Arun is an entrepreneur living in Shanghai for nearly 20 years. Prior to Shanghai, he has lived in South Korea, Poland, Vietnam and Brazil. Arun has been heading his textile trading business in China for 20 years with experience in the textile trade for nearly 30 years. Arun loves outdoor sports in particular cricket and is now a budding golfer. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Vivek Gupta
Chair – Textile Committee
Vivek acts as the Head-China Operations of Raymond Limited. He oversees the complete supply chain, sales, marketing and various management strategic functions for Raymond Limited in China. He was a part of the India Business Forum run by CII in Shanghai and has interacted with various top Indian political and business leaders. Vivek is an avid badminton player and has regularly supported various charity and cultural events for the Indian community. He has been living in Shanghai for 20 years.
Ravikiran Chaudhari

Ravi, heads UPL Shanghai, driving Procurement strategies, Risk management, Technology tie ups in China, strengthening relationships, bringing in automation, Bringing sustainability Culture, Identifying JV opportunities. His passion is building high performing teams, creating an Agile working environment that is helping UPL usher in growth and create an impact globally. Ravi loves being Fit, making Keto Food recipes & travelling are his hobbies. Ravi has been in Shanghai for 6 years now.
Ajay Bansal
Chair – Logistics Committee
Ajay is an entrepreneur and International Logistics Specialist based in Shanghai. He has more than two decades of experience working in family owned business as well as with multinational organizations. His expertise includes various logistics verticals starting from simple warehousing, transportation, custom clearance and shipping to overseeing complex project/product launches, ICD operations and SEZ operations. He holds a Masters Degree specializing in International Business. His interest includes supporting organizations providing education to the poor and he likes to be involved in activities promoting Indian art and cultural heritage.He has been living and working in Shanghai for the past 17 years.
Abhishek Golecha

Abhishek has been acting as the General Manager of KGK diamonds, Shanghai since 2004. He specializes in diamonds , jewelry & color stones . He is responsible for marketing, sales and overall operations of the company. KGK Diamond’s China team comprises of 14 Indians, 40 locals and has an annual turnover of USD 150 million per year. KGK Diamonds has been the top importer of diamonds in China since the last 12 years .
